Who We Are
We are an Anglican Parish in Swanbourne, Western Australia, that looks to engage with contemporary life while honouring tradition and scripture. We believe in colour and drama and symbol; that worship should inspire and challenge us; and in being transformed through encountering the mystery of God. We welcome pilgrims and visitors; explore and enjoy!
Worship
At the Church of the Resurrection our worship inspires and challenges us by re-telling the drama of Christ's life, death, and resurrection. Be a part of our community and lead others into a transforming encounter with God.
Music
Our parish has a strong focus on music as a vehicle for the worship of God. The St Cecilia Singers, our parish choir, provides sacred choral music for the mass from ancient hymns of praise, Hebrew psalms, to mass settings from the centuries of Christian worship. Have your senses awakened to the sound, colour, and drama of God's world.
Events
The church serves our local community particularly by providing concerts of high calibre by our St Cecilia Singers of music both sacred and secular. Details of concerts past and present, and other events which bring our parish together, can be found here.
Faith Thoughts
We believe that Christianity is a way of people coming to life in the fullness of their humanity. In whatever encounters he had, in utter faithfulness to God Jesus questioned the boundaries people and society erected around themselves and others. Jesus in doing so brought people promise, blessing, and forgiveness. We try to do the same.
Church Hall Hire
The Church Hall is suitable for a range of regular classes, including light exercise, yoga, dance, art, and cooking, and community meetings. The Church Hall has a modern light-filled interior with timber floors and block-out blinds, and can be divided in half. The Hall is available for hire at a range of times throughout the week.
