Bringing humanity to life

Be a part of our inclusive community where everyone is welcomed, embraced and challenged.

The Pelican Community and Function Centre aims to provide an affordable venue for diverse community groups. It is suitable for a range of activities, including classes, dinners, and parties.

It was the early Church that said: “The Glory of God is the human person fully alive.” We are a community working towards a fully flourishing humanity, alive to beauty, dignity and love.

The Church of the Resurrection is centrally located in Perth’s western suburbs. We offer a friendly, welcoming, and dignified church wedding ceremony in a unique, inspiring location.

Junior Choir Auditions

Monday 31 October, 6:00 pm
The Anglican Parish of Swanbourne - Mt Claremont, who are pleased to announce the addition of two new children’s choirs to our musical program. The parish is well known for music of a high standard and has had a professional adult choir for several years. The church building is widely considered to have one of the best acoustics in the Perth area and is extensively used as a concert venue. The new choirs we are now establishing are open to boys and girls aged 8-18, and will provide young musicians with professional training in choral singing, with particular focus on sight reading, musicianship and vocal technique. This experience aims to challenge and extend students who show exceptional aptitude for music, and will greatly complement their existing learning in classroom music or instrumental lessons. The choirs will consist of a Junior Choir (ages 8-12), of unbroken treble voices, and a Senior Choir (ages 13-18) which will be an SATB ensemble. The Junior and Senior choirs will provide music for Sunday services approximately twice a month. Members will be expected to attend a weekly afternoon rehearsal, and will have opportunities to participate in concerts and sing with our adult musicians on special occasions.
